Shorter Showers
PLEDGE: Shorter Showers
It's easy - have a 5 minute shower instead of a 10 minute one, a 10 minute one in place of a 15; all it takes is cutting down your shower time.
Save time, money and electricity!

Water Saving showerhead
There're some different kinds of water saving showerheads available in the market, some of which I heard only consumes 1/3 of normal shower water usage!! Surely this will use substantially less electricity too
and the tap
I note getting the temperature right wastes heaps of water, and what of those people who will play with the taps while one is in the shower? Some intelligent plumbing solves the latter problem.
Buckminster Fuller way back designed a needlespray shower as part of his household ergonomics. I didn't believe it, but a claim was made that it was so efficient you could shower without removing your clothes! - no synthetics back then of course. If he were around now he would be developing a waterless bathroom using nanomachines - hmmm.
His domes are of course the most energy efficient kind of dwellings one can have.

A further way to cut down on electricity and water for showers
Electricity and water for showers can be saved even further by adopting the European practice of turning the water off while soaping up and applying shampoo, then turning it back on again to rinse. I confess I can't bring myself to do this during winter in our freezing cold bathroom, but from spring to autumn, this works fine.

I like the lather up bit :]]
I agree... I've never actually heard of that method before. Of course when putting blonde highlighty stuff in my hair I turn the shower off to wait... but not on a regular basis. Dunno, just feels weird standing naked in a plastic box.
I'll try it, though.

Hmm yeah. My family's applying for a home wind turbine but not too sure if they'll get one to us.
Had a shower that way - liked it. Made me feel good about myself... lol. Pretty sad, really. Oh, and anyone doing NaNoWriMo this year?
I've heard that proverb before; don't know where. I think it may have been Greenpeace or something. Hmm..
