Just say no to the electricity-gobbling drier. Check the sky or the forecast before you do a load of washing and use nature's Fisher and Paykel - the sun! If you don't have a washing line, make one. And just think, no more shrinkage!

No Dryer
As a family of 5 we have never desired to own a dryer. Apart from a 6 month period where we were house sitting and there was a dryer in the house we have never used one. That includes raising 3 children who had cloth nappies. I was walking past a house one beautiful fine day and happened to glance into their garage. I saw a dryer going and thought what a waste. I guess that for some people it is just less hassle but clothes last longer and smell so much better when they're hung and dried outside.
