Grow your own food

Eating locally grown, in-season fresh food cuts down on the amount of transport and storage needed, and the emissions that they produce.

It makes no sense to import fruit from the other side of the world, when we could wait just a little bit longer for some fresh home-grow.

Start a garden with your family, flatmates or neighbours, and you'll find it saves money, and it's satisfying too.

grow your own

hiya, this year have got strawberries growing, a tamarillo tree (yet to fruit) planted silverbeet, lettuce, cauilflower, spinach, chives, lemon balm, mint. Lemon tree and mandarine tree, all exciting for us, kids like to watch them grow and eat them. It feels so good to eat what weve grown. We live by the beach but with some shelter provided all growing is going well (learned from experience) lol
