Gift a green membership for christmas
Take the next step for a Green Christmas. Instead of giving 'things' to your loved ones gift them a membership to an environmental organisation like Greenpeace. They will love it and so will the environment.

Despite the very good intention of giving away green memberships, I do not quite understand the practicality of this:
1. Greenpeace membership is free to join(only pay monthly donations). So it's monetary value is virtually none unless you would pay for their monthly fees yourself.
2. Such a membership required details of the member him/herself. Some of these may/should be private and not available for others to sign up on their behalf.
Still a good ideal though =)

that sounds great however you have got to know that they can continue to afford membership, unless you continue to pay for them. One off donations might be an option.
