PLEDGE: Get Political
It is easy to send an email to your local MP about climate change. Let them know why you think it is such an important issue, and what type of action is required. You can give them a brief analysis of the climate change policy of their party and Government. If any of their policy is good then tell them (flattery goes a long way...) but also tell them what improvements are required.
It might also be good to remind them that climate change policy will be a major vote decider for you come election time.

Emailing MPs is good - going to see them is even better!
It's a great idea to email or write a letter to your MP. It's an even better idea to go to see them and tell them your views in person. MPs (especially electorate MPs) hold "clinics", which is the rather bizarre name for sessions, often held on a Saturday, where the MP sits in an office or a caravan and hears what constituents think. You don't have to be an expert to take part - you just have to tell the MP how you feel about climate change and how it will affect your vote. It's also a good idea to ask the MP to take a specific action or ask a specific question, and then report back to you.
Contact your MP's electorate office to find out when the next clinic in your area is.

email = easily ignored
email, if it is even read by the MP it's addressed to, is easy to ignore and dismiss.
a phone call, much less so.
