IDEA: Saving the world
Hi there all,
the government has been talking about rating homes for energy efficiency and talks about heating suggestions that reflect no power use such as solar. I live in a drafty home that to the government would get a bad rating but when you think about it the draft acts as a cooler during summer so we do not plan to plug our holes.
Water Saving Tip. The other day as I was washing up at the basin I realised I needed to visit the toilet. Rather than doing this I urinated into the wash basin. Unclean you think? Not really. I rinsed quickly the basin afterwards with soap and the amount of water used to do this was far far less than flushing the toilet. No there's a thought.

Save the water as well
Better still would be to urinate out in the garden, then you'd save the soap and water as well. A compost heap might be a good place to try.
Urine used to be used for cleaning, it's good for the laundry because of the high concentration of urea.
So there's another use if you're that interested - store it up in a container and then soak your clothes in it, they'll come out all nice and clean, just like they did in ages past.
Let me know how you get on.
Saving water
Hmm, I agree on watering the plants, I've heard the lemons like it! Not sure about washing my clothes in my wees, or even worse other people's. What about if that's what you are trying to get out! My kids wet the bed all the time.
How about, if it's brown flush it down if it's yellow let it mellow.
