My Partner and i had what we think is a really good idea for getting information about saving energy to the general public at first we thought a major pamhplet drop to everyhouse in NZ with simple bullet point solutions on it but then realised that pamphlets would just be thrown away, so how about instead having a page in the phonebook i.e just after the emergency procedures; called the 'Energy Saving Guide' with the simple bullet point solutions as said before for example:
_ change lightbulbs to energy saving bulbs
- turn off appliances at the wall
- use reusable bags
- recycle

etc etc,....

it could also include a small direcotry of which pages inlude things like Recycling companies, compost compaines and where to dispose of wastes safely.

unfortunately alot of people dont bother for looking for these ideas themselves so we think that having it in the phonebook would make it more official with people more likely to adhere to the changes and makes it easier for people who may want to change but are not sure where to get that sort of information. it would get the information to every household in NZ and people dnt throw phonebooks away so its harder to ignore

Would be greatful for any comments and suggestions as to how we could go about putting this plan into action as in who we should approach about the idea etc...
