We should not buy Japanese Products this close to Christmas in order to stop them Hunting rare whales and eating them as meat, the people that can influence the Japanese the most is the generation between 10yrs and 30yrs old who have the most influence on their parents and on how money is spent. Japanese kill the whales by shooting a harpoon which penetrates 1m in to their skin before exploding. Imagine how much that would hurt!

huh?
*wonders why this is on a climate change website*
How is this related...?
I'm not sure how this relates to me reducing my carbon footprint...?
Also, I'm pretty sure that NZ boycotting Japanese products would hurt NZ more than it would hurt Japan, and even then it wouldn't really reach the Japanese Fisheries Agency, who are the ones responsible for whaling... which it's really a climate issue anyway.
I've voted this one down.
come on!
Although this may not be a climate change issue, this site is also for the sharing of ideas and constructive positive supportive critisism, etc.. and I do believe that Iska must have felt very strongly about the harm to whales Japanese Fisheries is doing. So I am voting the idea, although boycotting is not the way to go, perhaps we could just not buy any whale products. Something to think about anyhow, thanks Iska for your compassion to whales. Dont stop trying to change the world with your ideas, its always good to have positive feedback on how to go about this. Giving you some real solutions or ways you can support whales could be checking out the Greenpeace website on whale action support.
