IDEA: Children's Lunches
If you buy ready made food for your kids lunches DON"T buy the little packets of chippies and crackers etc. Buy the normal packets and put them into containers that can come home and be used again. The same goes for sandwiches. DON'T use plastic wrap, use containers

Laptop lunchbox
I have been searching for a nice lunchbox for my son, I've not found anything in NZ yet that fits the bill, but these ones made by a californian company look awesome http://www.laptoplunches.com/products.html the smaller containers fit perfectly inside. Something I've not found with the modular storage systems available here, which are designed to stack and not fit inside. If anyone knows of somewhere I could find something suitable and locally made I'd love a link or information.
Not only is buying larger packets better because it's saving on packaging (which you as the at home adult are in control of disposing off too) but it is way way cheaper!
Often a lot of school
Often a lot of school children (mostly older) dispose of their rubbish in gardens, on footpaths etc. So I think this is a great idea. But if you must buy little packets encourage your child not to litter.
When I was younger my mother bought my sister and I tupperware lunchboxes with containers on the inside. They containers didn't have lids but they were great. Also Lock & Lock have a similar style again with no lids though.
