Its still amazing to me how nuclear power is still cited as a solution to climate change. I don't come across it often but enough for me to do my own research. No matter how hard I look the most ardent pro-nuclear fan or publication still has no reponse for the waste issue, its almost as if that doesn't matter cos we'll 'find a way'. umm, they also said electricity from nuke power would be so cheap you couldn't meter it! There are so many reasons why we must not jump out of the CO2 pan into the radioactive fire! And nearly all people I meet are very proud of NZ nuke free status.

So I don't think there is any job in the world where u would meet a fascinating American Marine Biologist who is studying the effect of increasing CO2 in the ocean and its effects on Gastropod shell formation in the Antarctic AND the mother of your local MP whom you lobbyed last year on climate change government action, Marsden B and Save Happy Valley! Well thats what happened in my life this week.

Tales from the Frontline

Just come back from a great trip out to Hickory Bay , surfing with seals, getting flogged by oversize waves but also catching some of the fastest, cleanest peaks of the year. Places like Hickory Bay on Banks Peninsula remind me why I love this good Earth. Being outdoors experiencing nature and enjoying the vibration is exactly why we must stand up for the Planet- Our children deserve the same opportunities. My mate told me that surfing is like a spontaneous interaction with Nature in its rawest form. i agree.

I am a Greenpeace Frontliner-you know those friendly cheerful people you see on the streets interacting, motivating and signing up new supporters for the greatest cause there is-Our Planet.
