Envirogroups in schools
Posted November 12th, 2007 by JennieAt Port Chalmers School we have our whole school involved in Envirogroups. Each teacher plus our Deputy Principal and some parents take a group of children and teach them some aspect of environmental education. The school just buzzes every fortnight when the envirogroups are in action. Each group uses the Enviroschools action planner to plane their actions for their time together. the goups are made up of children from each class and so the whole school has a say in what happens around the place.
Hector's Dolphin
Posted November 12th, 2007 by JennieI am the lucky recipient of a Teaching Fellowship for 2008. I will be working with Liz Slooten from the University of Otago. We intend to document the Hector's dolphin population along the coast from Dunedin to Oamaru. If you were keen to help and you live in these areas then please go to my wiki space and download an observation form and th einformation sheet. http://DolphinsDownSouth.wikispaces.com
