ok hi guys..... i just joined about three minutes ago. i was at the climate festival..... and i thought it was great, to anyone who cares. i totally support saving the climate, and organicness, and enviro friendly things. my mum is very into that, so i am to. ok, um the reasons i really wanted to join this was that my mum is starting up a company, where her and her friend are going to hold seminars, and other things, and inform people on how they can make their homes eco friendly. you know, energy efficient light bulbs, other things like that. shes an architect, so the houses she designs are eco friendly too. anyway, she needs a name, so if anyone has any suggestions....? or maybe if she starts it up, ill tell you all about it, so you can tell your friends....etc. i really think we need to start making an effort to be more enviro friendly. anyway, ive gotta go. i hope you all think about my mums buisiness. :) jen

Green Roofs
Is your mum into green roofs? The roof is covered with sod and grassed. I've been in such a house. That roof is quite effective insulation but another merit is that runoff is slow. Chicago city is trying to encourage green roofs for factories as well as residences. They go on about a fenced green roof being a nice place for viewing or just escaping heat at night. This is part of their Green Alley program. Their booklet is on the net:

Hi Jennaroo - welcome aboard! Your mum's business sounds very interesting ... does she have a website we can check out?
